Treasures inside Beijing’s Forbidden City
Posted April 8th, 2010 by Sheila ScarboroughWhile exploring the Forbidden City during the China 2.0 tech tour, I stumbled upon just one of the many art galleries spread throughout the complex.
I’m no art expert and have only an enthusiastic traveler’s love of beautiful things, but I popped out my video camera to record a few of the pieces that I thought were really striking.
Please join me in Beijing for a look at a few of my favorite things….

Sheila, you are so lucky to have visited the Forbidden City on a quiet day, which made your video much more effective. On my visit in October, hordes of Chinese tourists were celebrating the 60th anniversary of communism. Even with the noisy crowds, I was able to find a quiet area or two at the Forbidden City. What a complex!

Thanks, Donna – I felt a little strange babbling to narrate the video while inside the gallery, but no one seemed to mind.
