This was in today's New York Times and I thought it was interesting:

"Indians still live with a sense of permanent crisis, of a world out of joint, where violence can be contained but never fully prevented, and where human action quickly reveals its tragic limits."

Congratulations on your engagement -- it sounds like you said yes!

I thought Slumdog captured Mumbai pretty well, actually, at least that particular aspect of it, which seems to be what I've focused the most on.

I've never been to Mumbai but I wanted too if I can have the chance. I know the movie Slumdog Millionaire is too exagerrated and I am sure Mumbai has still great spots yet to be revealed. But for now, I am currently staying here in Sardinia, smelling the fresh morning breeze, the salty waters and the warm sand in my feet. I can't help not to brag, but I am the luckiest girl in the world. Having been proposed by the greatest man on Earth in the most romantic beach here in Sardinia.
