NZ in 19 sleeps. I'm researching potential itineraries on the computer, and every so often, when I see a picture of Doubtful Sound, or a fur seal in Akaroa, I shout at the screen, "THAT'S STUPID. THAT'S JUST STUPID". My comprehension of beauty of that intensity is short-circuited and manifests itself as agression. Violently happy...

As far as I'm concerned, the South Island IS New Zealand. After spending two weeks in New Zealand, we figured that it would take about four weeks to do justice to the South Island and two weeks for the North. So, way to go Lonely Planet!

I recently visited NZ and fell in love with the South Island...so much so that I hope to make another (longer) trip in the next 2-3 years and possibly do some of my graduate studies there. My trip highlights included Fjordland NP, kayaking Abel Tasman and swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura.

Here's a link to some of my NZ photos:

Stop the kiwis from criticising me for travelling through Asia and Europe before skipping across the duck pond to New Zealand. Then maybe I can stop apologising. Show me what I'm missing!
