It would be a great idea for you to work on writing travel articles -- think of all the people you could help in similar situations, using your own experiences and observations. I know something of how you feel. My mother-in-law is disabled, and so I now look at our travels in a completely different light, from her point of view.

Glad to hear your son loves the ocean so much -- it sounds wonderful to watch him play!

I love to travel and write so this is a great idea! I am a mom of a small child just diagnosed with CP, so when I travel we look for CP friendly places. I have found no matter the location, the stares are getting impossible as he walks around town in his gait trainer. We have actually had people stop and point at us, but he's doing amazing and loves to go to the beach. He loves to chase the waves and scoot in and out of the sand, and in the ocean or the pool he's an equal to any other kids because he can swim like a fish!!
