Hi marilyn,

Intelligent Travel is a definite on my morning reading list. And thanks for referencing that sample post. The video by Ali Ogden was realling interesting. Let's face it - we mostly go by what the hotel tells us in regards their 'green' policy. To actually see behind the scenes of a green hotel is great. Looking forward to more videos by Ali.

No problem Elizabeth, Go Green Travel Green is always full of great posts

Nia, Thanks for tip about Dwell Magazine - they also have a blog</a>

Me too on Intelligent Travel ;)

There's also a magazine called Dwell, which is actually an architecture and design magazine, but a green travel aspect is that they do a lot of pieces on sustainable building and green redesigns, not only of homes but also of museums and eco-lodges.

For a technical aspect, might surprise everyone to know that the magazines of the IET and IEE (Institute of Engineering and Technology or something like that) have seriously well-written and accessible articles that address the future of energy and sustainability.

My favorite green travel blog is Intelligent Travel, produced by National Geographic Traveler magazine (where I work). We cover authentic and sustainable travel and we do it in a fun, non-preachy way. Sample post: tour a green hotel in North Carolina with video host Ali Ogden, who takes you behind the scenes from the rooftop solar panels to the geothermal refrigerators to the energy-generating elevators to the waterless urinals:
