Hi Suz,

Glad you've enjoyed the posts. New Zealand has so many fun and adventureous things to try. And road tripping it is the way to go. The indoor ice wall was built last year and is the only one in the Southern Hemisphere (apparently there are only 7 worldwide).

I know what you mean about getting fit...it's not easy....just remember, one foot at a time. And you don't have to be super fit to enjoy all the great outdoor life that New Zealand has to offer.

I've been enjoying the New Zealand road trip posts- thanks so much! I would never have thought that they could DO indoor ice climbing, but of all places NZ would be the one to figure it out. I've never been there yet but they seem to have a reputation for great active travel oportunities (hiking, climbing, splunking, etc.) especially the unusual ones. Hence why I'm holding off until hiking more than a mile doesn't seem like it would kill me. *sigh* getting in shape takes so much WORK...
