A New Year’s mini-concert

Posted December 31st, 2007 by Sheila Scarborough

This video of a local street musician was taken during First Night celebrations on New Year’s Eve in downtown Austin, Texas.

You are only subjected to my voice for a few bars of “When the Saints Go Marching In….”  :)

Here’s the direct URL link to the video, if you can’t see the box.

Happy New Year, everyone!

I love it! What a great way to ring in 2008 :-)

And Sheila, you’re clearly not quite as tone deaf as I am! Can you sing the rest for us?

    Happy New Year!

  2. Sheila Says:

    Aww, thanks, Antonia.

When my teen daughter heard that section, she squawked as though I’d recorded myself burping or something. I did have the good sense to shut up after one line.

Best wishes to you in 2008.

That’s what teenage daughters are for, aren’t they?

I just can’t wait for my son to say “Mo-om”, hissing through his teeth whenever I attempt to sing. His father was an Anglican choir boy, so they’ll be chiming me out of the house.
