Language is one of my favorite topics -- how our words and meanings vary, and the different words that different cultures come up with. I find it fascinating that we don't have an equivalent word in English. One of the singers I mentioned, Mariza, has CDs you can buy through Amazon.com or other Web sites. I purchased one of hers in the US, and it has all the lyrics in both Portuguese and English. Maybe you can try that to begin with? So far my search has been to no avail. However, I was interested in what your wrote about the Portuguese word Saudade, as we have this word in Arabic too (I am Lebanese)! It is an old word that you may come across in old poetry, very old, and it means something similar to what you have tried to describe. It's so easy to travel from one country to another within one or two hours. There are cheap <a href="http://www.cheapflights.co.uk" rel="nofollow">flights</a> available from almost every worthy destination, to and from London, Paris, Rome, Berlin and Madrid etc etc. I love Europe and I hardly ever get out of there. The only trip I have done so far out of Europe is New York City.
