This tells me I need to start posting about the Hudson Valley. The Adirondack Museum is a place I haven't been to--I'm down in the Catskills--but I have to remember that, although because I grew up in serious frontierland, this was all once frontier, too. It's been through a lot of evolution, the Hudson Valley.

Hey! Yellowstone was my backyard, too -- only our front yard faced the other way (we were in Idaho).

And now you're in the Hudson Valley? One of my favorite museums in all the world is the Adirondack Museum. I can't really describe why, except the paintings, the history of hiking and backpacking and canoeing, and setting, just all add up to a great place to spend time. And the rest of the Hudson Valley isn't shabby, either.

Thanks for the plug.
